He jumps on one leg, while the other is kicking in the air and the arms are lifting invisible weights. Jørgen Mejer Jørgensen knows how to emphasize with body language. But in over 15 years he had to sit like a cripple, filled with pain several days every month. Jørgen who is educated as a forest worker had been working in the local forest, in North Zealand for about two decades, and actually had a very bad back.

Went to the doctor every week
- I don't know how to explain it, but you could say that my back got dislocated. If I made one bad move, I got a nasty pain that only left after I went to the doctor or the chiropractor.
Jørgen remembers clearly, how it feels:
- One time I woke up in the morning and thought, something is very wrong. Every time I took a breath it hurt a lot in my lungs. So I called the doctor, whom I knew very well at this point. I was visiting him almost once a week and he told me it was my back again. In my sleep, I had made one bad movement, so that a vertebra at the top of my back was dislocated, he explains.

No doctor for three years
As a forest worker it meant a lot of sick days, sometimes one or two a week. But at the same time he was told that his job as a forest worker was the best job he could possible have. Because he trained his back in his daily work, his musculature could hold his spine in place.
- If I had been at the office, from 9-5 my back would have hurt a lot, he explains.

Filling the holes in the road
Jørgen comes from a Christian family and grew up with faith in God. But life took him away from that faith until 1999 when he found personal faith again. He had been to many meetings and had heard about, how God could heal people and he started to believe that it also could include him.
There was a prophetic word that spoke right into his situation, and helped him to be healed.
- A team from Evangelist prayed for my back at a small private meeting After that I got a prophetic word: "Just fill the holes in Gods Kingdom and help when you are asked, and God will heal your back on the way" Jørgen took it:
- I remember saying "Give me something to do and I will do it!" The words came like gunfire out of Jørgen's mouth.
Shortly after that meeting the pain in his back disappeared, and it never came back since then, despite the fact that he has worked hard.
This experience he has given on to others. He has felt in his own body that you just have to do what you're told, and what is needed.

Have you prayed?
After 25 years as a forest worker, he works as a gardener now, but sometimes he also sits in front of the computer at home for a whole day. So even though he can feel in his body that he is making a heavy lift, his back hasn't been dislocated for almost three years.
- Since the spring of 2004 I haven't been to the doctor once to get my back put back in place, Jørgen tells, he can do whatever he wants without any pain.
But the healing has had a consequence. Jørgen knows how hard it is to be sick and how difficult to deal with the pain. That's why he loves to pray for sick people, and typically he says:
- Unbelievably many of those that I pray for get healed! I have been praying for people with pain in the back and for a woman that was blind. I met her one day I was at work. When I had prayed for her she said: "You wear glasses!" I thought that was a very good sign!
Jørgen smiles at the thought. He actually smiles a lot. His voice is full of joy.
- If I hear, that somebody is sick, I always ask: "Have you prayed?"
